How to read the screening
The tool compares source temperature and relative-humidity ranges, flags ethylene production versus sensitivity, and notes onion odour separation plus chilling and freezing thresholds. A compromise appears only when all selected items retain a positive-width shared temperature band after those thresholds are considered and no severe compatibility conflict is identified.
Commodity profiles are grounded in the UC Davis Postharvest Technology Center and USDA Agricultural Handbook 66 references in the produce dataset. Use current product and customer specifications for actual decisions.
